perspective of an amateur

*please read this article to the end or dont bother to read it at all or u wont get the point.

I kind of consider this piece to be a message i would like to give to the people who thinks their life to be misarable n unbearable... i just want to ponder on the question "is it that we who decide our own destiny or are we some puppet whose strings are pulled by someone who is considered to make us do the stupid and embarrasing things?".

From the moment we r born we r dependent on great many people, well i guess that is what qualifies us for the title social 'animal'. But some among us, though most of the time dont succeed makes attempts to be independent and autonomous. But how much do we need to be autonomous. I have not met a single person who seems to know. What determines how we are considered a self sufficient person... ok but there seems to be a very noticable problem by generalising the answer for this question for all groups of people. So i m going to discuss the same topic classifying it on the age..

for a small kid which i consider to be less than 5 years of age i find it totally justified to be totally dependent on his family n 'aquintances'. i guess the reason being the understanding of the common human mind in that age is considerably in the infancy to such n extent that we might be dum enuf to think even sand is edible.

But for children at the age between 6 and 10 are expected to be autonomous in his daily chores ranging from eating his food and hygene by most of the parents, though in extreme cases of over concern by parents they are still given the liberty to play infant to the limit they may be helped at even in their hygene. I believe this to be absurd and hindering the normal growth of the human mind.

Later on during the school days a child is considered to be able to mingle and cooperate with the individuals around him. this period is supposed to induce in the human mind that he belongs in a group of human beings n not a group of monkeys. By the statement before i mean this period of schooling is supposed to make the human mind to belive that it is ok to trust another human being, it is ok to share something and some thoughts with other human beings, it is ok to cry n to laugh wen a human mind feels to do so in a gathering of other people with whom he is comfortable with. The school days are meant to be the period wer the human mind gathers the basic knowledge of knowing that there is a spoon n people who think there is no spoon have to be kept at a distance, meaning he should be able to recognize gud company. and above all the school days is a time wen the human mind should be able to see the difference and feel the slightest contrast between gud n bad. this period is supposed to make a person think what his place in this world and the group of people, and how much he can achieve in a long run, though most of the time we get this one wrong. I made such a long paragraph on what is expected in school days because the group of people i some times find myself in feels like they are right out of a group of monkeys. I find this very unacceptable and at times, though I find it ok, pity the educational structure and the love and care given to the child..

But we are in a totally different mindscape in college or under graduate stages. it is a period wer a lot of minds some from a group of human beings and some from a group of monkeys meet and find themselves in very compromising situations trying to be natural and trying to behave just like the way they used to behave in their group(of human beings or monkeys). I guess it is a reason why the first year in any college can be very hard time for the light hearted rather than the pressure of any other factor say for eg ragging or workloads. And this is wer the family comes to play a role of a villain if they used to be a substitute for the attitude to be supplied to the human mind wen in school, or be extremely over protective to the extent that they consider every other individual a potential threat to their child.

Going to a little different angle of thought the college days are wen a human mind starts to get the feeling of limitation of the circumstances and find that some of the things which he thought was a piece of cake is a little unattainable. It is a period wen the mind gets the feel of fatigue and starts to question the contrast between gud n bad. It is wen people try to ease the fatigue with a dose of vodka or breathe out some trouble as a fag.

i belive i aint man enuf to continue with older stages of life as i aint seen any of it...

u might ask me y this long article on the obvious. my view being that, this is something we take for granted and take no effort to know the trouble of the brother and try to ease his pain. i just wanted to make a point that we are not the only one in the neighbourhood. The process of being autonomous is something that comes with the cost of losing company of other people who can play a wonderful part in easing the pain we at some point of the life is destined to encounter and share the happiness which hopefully most of us enjoy in life frequently.

Most people among us usually dont care about what somebody has done or put in a lot of effort to portray....
Just like a writer puts in a lot of inner meaning to his works an artist too puts a lot of unsung details on his work. Modern art is quite often mistook for rubbish but the fact remains that the value of the work comes only if u r willing to give the meaning to it. Normal realistic pics have a sole motive of chasing the reality of the subject or the object that is being portrayed n it means the same to everyone, whereas wen it comes to modern art we have a whole new dimension... Modern art is all about the person who views it or tries to decipher it. usually the beauty of modern art is in the way we feel about each line each curve each block each patch of colour.

Most of the time modern art is confined to simple forms weived together to form a complex that is pesonifying some meaning n colors conflicting or jelling together in a way the artist thinks at the moment. Or at times accidental mistakes that may or may not mean anything. It is basically the random thoughts of the artist taking a form in another dimension far from realism. Sometimes they may be the personification of something real or imaginary n common, yet unappreciated or mistaken.

The whole joy of watchin a work that moves away from realism and that is not confined by the clutches of shape n laws of nature is that it gives a whole myriad of ways of thought. The same work can mean a lot of thing to the same person if he is willing to think out of the box. it makes us wonder if question the obvious n find pleasure or at times pain in realising something truly wonderful. If i go for an examplification say there is a pic with a lot of interconnected lines thru which a lot of curves converge n diverge in a random fashion n there is a lot of conflicting colours which have been tried to mix. now i m standing in front of this wonderful piece of art n i start wondering..
For me it can actually remind me of all the difficult times and constricting event cycles and the way i could get into more trouble, and the way i could escape of these event cycles following something or someone. it can hint me to think of the two sides of the same coin concept. it may remind me of the randomness in the arrival of joys n pain. The conflicting colours can stimulate me to think of the diversity and how certain of these diversities go hand in hand n form a better state of affairs, n how some of them still stay different n never mix for the better. These being just a few of the thoughts. i may come up with a different meaning to the expressions in the work wen i look at it at a different time...

Ultimately the 'big picture' is and never will be the 'big picture'. We r given a choice to think of it as something that we never understand and fear, following the fear of the things that are not understood, or to think of it as something we truly understand and give a meaning to it that can be as lovely as a song of love by the great masters or be as dark and mysterious as black sabbath. And what more do u want.


Now going a little light on the topic the whole idea of this article is to put in a little sense to people who think modern art to be rubbish n worthless...

many a wars n battles been fought throughout the ages for the beauty of the human female form. what is that make the female form so desirable n makes the world think it is worth fighting for.

these are some of the things that came over me wen i was doing my latest sketch 'blue magic'.

The beauty of the female form is often not appreciated by most of the people around because they never got a reason to do so or better put they got better things to do. but at some point of every individual may it be male or female has had atleast an occasion wen they find the beauty of a lovely female form truly captivating. But for somebody who has ever tried to capture the beauty of the female form almost instantly falls in love with the beauty of the female form. The difficulty in reproducing the curves in the female form is very considerable when compared to the ease of producing the blockiness of the male form n most of the other things that r popular in art. The texture of the female skin in the primes of youth is one of the reasons that make the female form so desirable i believe. The female skin has this innate smoothness which nicely complements the wonderful n continuous muscular structure. The female body has a lot of curves that wen we draw keeps us wondering if we r producing it right or should it go a little more deep or should it be left to curve in or out more. if u exaggerate the curves the beauty is cartooned n gives us a feeling of guilt, if it is not reaching the the pricise depth n eccentricity of the curves the beauty is not achieved and mostly lost. i belive this is why the works of great masters which depicts the female form in the precise measurements so praiseworthy n valuable.

there is beauty in any female form let it be fat, slim, long, short, fair, dark even if the form may have some features that normally is not in compliance with the tastes of the individual who is viewing it, as a whole the innate shapes n curves in the female body makes up to the individual dislikes of certain features. at least if the sense of shape does not interest the viewer the the exotic texture of the female skin n the softness n flow of the underlying muscle frame work which lies over the lovely n well designed chassie or the skeletal frame of the female form is worth the appreciation. n the unique hair patterning which at times gives the female form a beauty instance unmatched by any other form of emblishment. all these r some of the things the male form and at times the female form, by instincts adores n finds captivating.

n wen combined with the wide range of colors n varieties of textures that can be put on this amazing form as clothes n jewellery or other forms of tatoo work or body peircing gives the female individual an options to be a moving artwork.

besides this tangible beauty of the female form there is something in the soul of the female individual that makes her a wonderful work of art as the result of the feminine instincts n abilities put in the activities that the individual is able to perform.

so in total i could realise a true appreciation for the human female form n stand truly justfied for all the blood that has been shed for possessing the beauty of the female form.

The true essence of any work of art i believe is the amount of the artist that the artist is willing to put in honestly and unembellished.I consider this blog to be an account of my experiences n thoughts put in the wide net that someday someone may be reading to his content or his amusement n maybe to criticize the originality or the stupidity of the thoughts that has been portrayed. But the originality of the work n the stupidity r relative. And truly only seen with the mind of a comparator. The stupidity for a person might be the absolute portrayal of the true experience someone who has actually experienced what has been put on this blog... excuse my habit of writing long sentences n the lack of continuity while jumping from one clause to the next n not to mention my inconsistence in completing the thought that i first started to portray n later abandoned because i thought that might have been what i wanted. i have once heard in a movie that the absolute work that comes out of anyone is when one does the first draft without thinking much... wen u actually striking the keys without knowing that u r actually striking them. the first draft comes from the heart and wen thought is put in with the mind of a critic the work is misinterpreted and it loses all its honesty n beauty that has been put in it. It then becomes a work of the hand rather than a work of the heart n soul...

The finest moment in anyone's life who is actually trying to convey anything staying within the boundaries of language n reality n flow of thoughts is to read for the first time what he has intended through his draft. (the above thoughts is all adapted from the movie 'finding forester' starring sean connelly) in the lead role as William Forester whom i dont know n doesnt have the knowledge to know weather he is fictitious or real...

But one thing is for sure for the artist in me finds the thought truly honest n convincing to the deepest of my heart. i find it truly analogous to the thought of a painter or any fine artist that has the liberty of enjoying for the first time n being the first among all the people who ll see the work of art that he has done n later criticize or appreciate n comment, that he has achieved something that not any one has ever achieved or shall achieve as per his talent n his individuality.
