why art???

Most ppl dont know why they keep making art, let it be painting music writing or the other. I guess that is part of art... I believe that art is the true expression of the randomness in our minds that make us different from machines. It is the total deviation from order in most of the cases. Some ppl take it as an obsession, some as an escape from the boring routined and plotted life, some take it as an introspection of the things they have done and thought. But if we have figured everything out then i believe the purpose of art is lost.

Artist thru the ages have thought of art as means of rebellion of the system they live in. Thru my experiance of the world in the past 20 years or so, in my life, everyone i have come in contact have more than once complained about what they have, n what they want, n about why the world is so cruel to them. It is human tendency to want more. some people want to live in a world created by themselves, n different people have different ways of telling the world that everything that is in place is wrong and they hate it.

Artist most of the times takes this argument to and extreme possibilites. Others just keep it hidden and lets it out in an outbreak sort of way wen they get to an argument. In that way i say art may be a gud way to keep ur temper in check, just a personal opinion.

Talking about artist, some find art to make it as realistic as they personally can, n say "i like the way it is n dont want it to look any different", in effect giving the message that he doesnt like it n he wants it better, if everything in the world is perfect realist among the artist loses the hope of perfection. I believe if something is perfect to the extent it can be then realist get a feeling that it is too perfect to ruin it... a true realist then may be a person who finds flaws n tries to get it to the eyes of the world, and say this could be better, unknowingly making his art to be better than the real thing. Say me for instance find pleasure in unclarity. i find pleasure in unfound details and like to think if it wasn't there i could have made it better, if u know what i mean. (something i felt wen i made the painting "y so serious").

But i think of music in a totally different perspective. music is all about clarity and the distinctive ness of the sound, making it a feeling of perfection. most songs if u break it up and listen u find a certain spice of life that is missing in ur life. the sounds of the instruments is the completion of the sounds that human ears long to hear in the environment. Some people on the other hand find music in silence. while others in total brutality of the sounds that can be created by means available.

The most peaceful i feel is wen i m floating in the water with my ears submerged wen the only vibrations on ur eardrums is the sound of small ripples in the water and my slow paddles on the water, and it brings back long lost memories both gud and bad, n it makes my eyes water.

like poetry is the spontaneous outburst of emotions recollected in tranquility, art i find is the recollection of the events that went either bad or very brilliantly right mixed with the current entropy or randomness in the mind at the point of creation of art, (by art here i mean fine arts). and what makes any work of art or other wise is the difference in feel from person to person wen he feels it in an entirely different entropy setting of mind at a different time and place of the surrounding.

Machines on the other is the exact opposite of art, they have the scary property of preserving the entropy settings of the mind. i find it to be the reason why we get bored of any peace of equipment much more easily than a piece of art.

if i have hurt the sentiments of anybody by stating the above statements, i want u to know it is an entirely personal feeling, which i feel nobody had the openess to put in writing.
